It is absolutely vital to maintain and monitor the chemical level of pools in order to keep pools safe for swimming. That is why we are so meticulous in our rhythm of how we check chemicals.

Quarterly In-Depth Water Check

Sanatizer

Chlorine is utilized to sanatize the water. It cleans water by killing or nuetralizing contanimnets, killing pathogens and algae, and preventing ilnesses. We utilize 2 types of chlorine to get the job done. Calcium Hypochlorite is used as a shock instantly raising the levels to our desired ppm, and Trichlor is added to slowly dissolve to maintain, slow down the decrease of chlorine, and maintain CYA levels in your pool. In rare occasion we may utilize Dichlor to significantly raise the CYA levels.

PH decreaser

We aim for PH to be in the ideal range of 7.4 -7.6. In order to do so we need to drive down the PH utilizing Muriatic Acid. To do this safely we dilute our desired amount in water and then introduce it to the pool. This helps distribute the acid more uniformly and prevents stains.

AlKALINITY Increaser

We aim for the alkalinity to be in the ideal range of 80 -120. This helps to keep the PH from swinging. In order to do so we need to drive up the Alkalinity utilizing Sodium Bicarbonate.

Algecide

Algecides are not only used to kill algae, but to prevent it as well. Silver Algadyne is the #1 algecide there is. It kills green, yellow, and black algae. It also doesn’t utilize chlorine, impact PH, or stain your pool. This will be introduced with a heavy initial dose, then followed by a small weekly maintanence dose. Note: there is no algecide that is 100% effective, but this does come the closest.

Water enhancers

We strive to create the most premium water experience possible. One thing we offer as a standard service to all our pools is a borate treatment. Borates help soften water, buffer PH, create a sparkle that is unmatched, and is said to act as an algistat. We utilize the Regal brand Water softener and enhancer. There is a very large initial dose that includes a follow up visit. After the borates are introduced, they do not leave the water other than splash out, a leak, or dilution. Then we follow with small dosages to keep the borate levels between 30-50ppm. We also utilize Regal Pool Renew to promote water clarity, remove phosphates, prevent scum lines, and create longer filter cycles.
